Burress Street Program - A permanent housing program which exists to assist Women Living with HIV/AIDS prevent homelessness.

Chupik House - A community residence providing supportive housing for Men Living with HIV/AIDS.

Help House - Help House provides a continuity of care for People Living with HIV/AIDS by providing permanent housing along with vital supportive services that empower clients to live independently.

First Responders - A unique "housing first" community integration program that outreaches to and places chronically homeless disabled persons residing on the streets and emergency shelters into permanent and affordable rental housing. Once homelessness is exited, the First Responders staff act as travel companions to help individuals access mainstream resources and services that help rebuild their overall lives while remaining in permanent housing.
Project T.E.X.T.  M.S.G. (Teaching Empowerment to eXit Transitional Housing by Managing Secure Goals) - This innovative collaboration with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) is the first permanent supportive housing solution for chronically homeless disabled young adults between the ages of 18-24 living with HIV/AIDS.  T.E.X.T.  M.S.G. utilizes the  “Housing First" model  and immediately moves each homeless young adult into their own apartment and then provides on-going supportive programming to help the young adult build a independent, self-sufficient life and permanently close the door on homelessness. 

Transitional Housing
Project N.O.A.H. (New Options for Alleviating Homelessness) - A transitional supportive housing program that assists homeless men with associated issues such as a mental health diagnosis, substance abuse, etc. to obtain permanent housing by increasing their income through employment. Project N.O.A.H. provides supportive services, substance abuse case management, intensive life-skills and mental health counseling. The men are provided access to mainstream resources and services which leads to exiting N.O.A.H. with permanent housing and employment income.
Discover - A transitional supportive housing program for homeless women with associated issues such as substance abuse to obtain permanent housing by increasing their income through employment. Discover provides supportive services, substance abuse case management, intensive life-skills and mental health counseling. The women are provided with access to mainstream resources and services which leads to exiting Discover with permanent housing and employment income.
Project LifeRoad - A transitional supportive housing program that provides supportive services for homeless individuals and/or families.  The program is designed to move participants to permanent housing by increasing their employment skills and/or income level, and thus achieving greater self-determination and self-sufficiency. 

Project A Friendly Haven - A unique housing initiative for Families Living with HIV/AIDS. Project A Friendly Haven assists women and families achieve a greater sense of self - determination to enable the family to establish and maintain self - sufficiency beyond homelessness to permanent housing.

Financial Assistance
Tenant Based Rental Assistance Program (TBRA) - Assists low-income People Living with HIV/AIDS with rental assistance, intensive case management and home visits to help individuals and families prevent homelessness.
Short Term Rent, Mortgage and Utility Assistance (STRMU) - Provides short-term financial assistance interventions that help HIV positive individuals and families who are temporarily unable to meet their monthly housing and utility expenses during a financial crisis.  Appointment required.

Emergency Food and Shelter Program (EFSP) - Assists People Living with HIV/AIDS and their families avert homelessness each year by offering rental subsidy.

Food Pantry Assistance
Stone Soup Food Assistance Program - Provides nutritious non-perishable food boxes specifically designed for People Living with HIV/AIDS. The food boxes are supplemented by a supermarket voucher or gift card redeemable for fresh produce, meat, personal hygiene items or household products.

Information & Referral
Benefits and Resource Counselor (BARC) - Links people with HIV/AIDS to AFH programs as well as provide referrals to other community services in the greater Houston area.

Housing Information Services and Resource Identification - Assists People Living with HIV/AIDS and their families locate affordable housing.Positive Link - Offers outreach services, linking HIV-positive women, infants, children and youth into HIV primary medical care.
Legal Aid
Free Legal Aid - Through a partnership with the law office of Katine & Nechman L.L.P., free 30-minute legal consultations are available to any HIV-positive individual on the second Tuesday of every month. These legal clinics are held exclusively at the offices of Katine & Nechman L.L.P., located at 1111 North Loop West, Suite 180. Transportation
Project Need A Ride - Provides transportation for Women and Youth Living with HIV/AIDS to their medical appointments at the various Harris County HIV outpatient clinics and to the Baylor Teen Clinic.
Thomas Street Health Clinic G.Y.M. (Growing Young Minds) Program
Thomas Street Health Clinic G.Y.M (Growing Young Minds) Program -Assists HIV positive clients and their children. This service is reserved for clients needing short-term child monitoring during their medical and/or social services appointments at Thomas Street Health Clinic/Bering Omega Dental Clinic.  
Get Started/Get Started Girl
Get Started - A program which works to improve and maintain the health outcomes for recently released Minorities Living with HIV/AIDS. AFH accomplishes this goal by providing health education and enrolling these individuals in the Texas HIV Medication Program within two weeks of their release from custody.
 
Get Started Girl - reduces the transmission of HIV/AIDS and secondary HIV infections in formerly incarcerated women by providing gender-specific opportunities for cultural-affirmation, critical thinking, and health literacy of the many health issues facing women today. Get Started Girl considers the social and environmental context in which women live and structures information, activities, program priorities, and service delivery systems to complement those factors. Get Started Girl builds self-esteem as well as gender and ethnic pride through cultural awareness, building on the extensive legacy of women and the themes of struggle and perseverance to frame discussions on HIV/AIDS. Get Started Girl serves all women released from prison but with an emphasis on serving women being released within the previous six months.
