Support VMC in the AIDS Walk!!!

So, the 19th Annual AIDS Walk Houston will take place on Sunday, March 9. It is an exciting 5K walk event that raises money for HIV/AIDS initiatives throughout Houston, increases community awareness and educates Houstonians about HIV/AIDS.

Please assist me in reaching my fundraising goal with just $5!!!

I'm walking with Legacy Community Health Services & since they are a benefiting agency, the money goes to them!!!!

By joining Legacy's Team or by making a donation, you help so many. Here are a few examples of how your support can make a difference in the lives of Legacy's clients:

▪ $3,750 helps Legacy pay for 10 clients to go through an 8-week wellness/fitness program.
▪ $2,750 helps Legacy provide 50 clients an eye exam by an Optometrist.
▪ $3,250 helps Legacy provide 10 clients with the Next Step program for those newly diagnosed as HIV+.
▪ $12,000 helps Legacy provide 10 clients with 1 month of HIV medication.
▪ $1,500 helps Legacy provide 20 clients a rapid HIV test that includes a safer sex educational session.
▪ $250 helps Legacy provide 500 safer sex kits to their clients.
▪ $75 helps Legacy provide 1 client a rapid HIV test that includes a safer sex educational session.
▪ $5 helps Legacy provide 10 safer sex kits to their clients.

About Legacy's clients:
71% of Legacy's clients are male, 28% are female, and 1% are transgender.
36% of Legacy's clients are African-American, 35% are White, 24% are Hispanic, 3% are Asian, and 1% are Native-American.
41% of Legacy's clients are heterosexual, 38% are gay/lesbian, and 7% are bisexual.

As you can see, anything you can pitch helps for the greater cause!!!
