Join us for AIDS Walk Houston 2018 as we ROCK THE WALK!
AIDS Walk Houston is mixing it up this year. We’re adding a concert featuring a diverse lineup of local bands and a celebrity emcee from 2pm to 5pm after the Walk. Leading up to the big event on Sunday, March 4th participating agencies will offer VIP concert passes to the first 1,500 people to receive a free HIV test. Watch this page for a list of bands that will perform!
As much as we are adding this new aspect to the Walk, we’re also not fixing what isn’t broken.
For 29 years AIDS Walk Houston has been and remains Houston’s greatest response in the fight against HIV/AIDS. Close to 10,000 men, women, and children along with ten benefiting AIDS Service Organizations gather in Sam Houston Park in Downtown Houston to raise awareness and funds to support HIV programs in the community. We honor and remember friends and family, celebrate those who are living full lives with the virus, and recognize the work still to be done.
Each year an estimated 1,200 people are newly infected with HIV in the Houston community. Your support helps local AIDS service organizations provide programs and life-saving services to thousands of Houstonians impacted by HIV/AIDS.
When you help us end HIV/AIDS in our community, you help end it worldwide!
BECOME A BENEFITING AGENCY
AIDS Walk Houston benefits many area AIDS Service Organizations. If your nonprofit agency provides services to the HIV/AIDS community, you can apply to create a benefiting agency team. Your agency will then share in the proceeds raised by your team members. To apply, download the Benefiting Agency Agreement (PDF), complete it, and return it to AFH.
